“All of us have a unique gift to bring into the world, but many of us lose touch with this gift in order to survive.”
Millar, A. ‘The Drama of a Gifted Child’
My therapeutic approach is creative, relational, and integrative. I draw on a range of therapeutic tools to help individuals reconnect with their authentic and creative selves. My aim is to provide a safe and supportive space where people can explore their relationships and experiences, reflect on their past (including childhood), and consider ways to move through difficulties and trauma. Ultimately, I strive to support clients in unlocking their creative potential and celebrating their innate gifts.
Professional Background & Qualifications
I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and I am a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). My qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Art Psychotherapy and a Master’s degree in Art and Design (Illustration). I also hold a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) and I am a Child Accelerated Trauma Technique (CATT) practitioner. Currently, I am undertaking training in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.
Experience & Values
Over the course of my career, I have gained extensive experience working across both statutory and third sector settings. My professional background spans social work, health, education, prison, and charity services, where I have had the privilege of supporting some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded individuals in society.
I am deeply committed to promoting equality of opportunity, particularly in relation to gender identity, neurodiversity, race, and class. I strive continuously to expand my understanding and compassion, ensuring that my practice remains inclusive and sensitive to the diverse needs of those I support.
